I’d like to welcome you to the web site of the Western New York Football Officials Association. Our Association has over 150 dedicated officials who officiate high school football games throughout Erie, Niagara and Orleans Counties.
Our Association is dedicated to the training and professional development of officials to ensure safety for the players, and to uphold the integrity of the game through rules enforcement. Football officials come from a variety of backgrounds, including teachers, administrators, police officers, clergy, business managers, and small business owners. What they all share in common is a love for the game of football, and a desire to support youth athletics.
We encourage those with an interest in football officiating to join our Association. We offer a four-year training and mentoring program leading up to State certification for varsity contests. First year officials immediately begin officiating sub-varsity games with the support of experienced officials.
